Inside Intrepid: Lisa Quevedo

Lisa currently serves as Senior Sales Engineer.

How did you make it to Intrepid?

I’ve worked in the oil & gas industry since 2003 after graduating from UT Austin with my mechanical engineering degree. I started my career working in drill bits for 12 years; subsequently, I transitioned to the directional drilling sector in 2016. I was familiar with Intrepid and the quality company they had established through the years. I was fortunate in 2020 to finally join the Intrepid team. It has been a challenging and rewarding move!

What do you do here?

I am a Sr. Sales Engineer based in Denver, Colorado. I work closely with customers and our operations team to increase our operational footprint in the US.

What are your hopes for your time at Intrepid?

I hope to profoundly contribute to the growth and success of Intrepid, both externally and internally. 

How did you get interested in your field of work?

My father worked in the oil and gas industry – mainly on the service company side in directional drilling. My father inspired me to study engineering and work in oil and gas. Thanks, Dad!

What's your idea of the perfect day?

Being a working mom to a 7-year-old son, my idea of a perfect day starts with a cooperative kid in the morning before school drop-off. Then a day where I can add value to our customers, ensuring we are an integral part of their success, big or small. While doing this, add value internally to the Intrepid team. If time allows, 9 holes of golf with customers before school pick-up is a nice touch. The perfect day ends with time with my family (and of course, a cooperative kid until bedtime)!
