Executives
Clint Leazer
President
Clint Leazer holds a Petroleum Engineering degree from Louisiana State University. As a child, Oil and Gas sent Clint’s family to Libya, where he spent his childhood before later moving back to Louisiana in high school.
He has 40 years of directional experience and has worked for multiple directional service companies throughout the globe over the years. He has managed business units and played a key role internationally, including operations in Russia, Malaysia, Australia, and others.
After working internationally, he moved back to the US and founded Intrepid in 2001. As the founder and president of Intrepid, Clint has worked to offer services in every major basin in the US. Through major acquisitions and expansions, he continues his commitment to building the most elite directional company available to our customers today.
Tamara Scoggins
Chief Financial Officer
Tamara Scoggins holds a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Briar Cliff University (2003) and a Masters in Accountancy from Texas A&M Corpus Christi (2004).
She began her career at Elms Faris, now known as Weaver, and was there for a total of 11 years. She specialized in Oil and Gas accounting. From there, she went to Whitley Penn, spending another three years also specializing in Oil and Gas accounting. Tamara has been with Intrepid since 2017.
When things start moving around Intrepid, Tamara has her hands on it. She is in the background handling all the financials.
Matt Catalano
General Counsel
Matt joins Intrepid after 24 years in private practice with the largest law firm in West Texas where he represented national and local oil and gas service companies, operators, midstream companies, major insurance carriers and governmental entities. He is a 1998 graduate of the University of Texas School of Law and is licensed in Texas and New Mexico. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Western District, Southern District and Northern District of Texas, and the U.S. District Court of New Mexico.
Matt previously served on his law firm’s Board of Directors and is a past president of the Midland County Texas Exes, a past Vice-President of the Midland County Young Lawyers Association and a former board member with Hospice Midland.
Matt is a U.S. Air Force veteran where he served as a Russian Cryptologic Linguist during the Cold War before going to law school. He and his wife Lee, an elementary school counselor, enjoy travel, live music, spending time with their two sons and their lovely wives, and their four dogs.
Matt is dedicated to incorporating the highest ethical legal standards into his work at Intrepid as it experiences phenomenal growth in North and Latin America.
